Four-Star Checking Out USC

Ohio State commit Devan Bogard will be taking an official visit to USC this weekend, as the four-star safety explores his options. With former teammate Aundrey Walker playing for the Trojans, is there a chance Bogard makes a switch?

Much of the news concerning Ohio State recruiting lately has been the positive momentum generated by head coach Urban Meyer, as he is attacking the recruiting front much as he has so successfully in the past.

Meyer has also been able to flip the commitments of Tommy Schutt and Se'Von Pittman, and is in the process of trying to land Penn State commits Armani Reeves and Camren Williams.

Friday came the news that one of Meyer's commits will be taking an official visit, as four-star safety Devan Bogard explained to Scout.com.

"I am on my way to USC for a visit," Bogard stated Friday morning. "This will be an official visit, and it will be good to see (former high school teammate and current Trojan) Aundrey Walker. I know he loves it out there, so I'm going out to check things out."

"It will be great to get of Ohio and into the sun," he added laughingly. "Of course, I'm still 100% committed to Ohio State, but I'm just going out there to check out USC and look around. It should be a fun trip."

Bogard is listed as a four-star prospect on Scout, and is ranked as the number-24 safety prospect in America. He committed to Ohio State last summer, and has taken an official visit there previously.
