Nat'l Championship: Denzel Devall responds

Denzel Devall, rated the No. 2 prospect in the state of Louisiana from Bastrop High School, was tuned in to watch his future Crimson Tide win the BCS National Championship, 21-0.

"It was a well played game," said Alabama commitment Denzel Devall. "We executed at all times and stopped their offense. We pitched a shut-out. I couldn't ask for anything more. I am just ready to grind and add championships for years to come."

The four-star defensive end was pleased to wear the crimson and white in his home-state following the 2011 BCS National Championship.

"On the Friday before the game, our principal made an announcement that students could wear LSU gear on Monday," Devall told "He said anyone wearing Bama gear would be kicked out. I went to the office and told them they'd have to kick me out.

"On Monday, I showed up in all my Bama gear but I didn't get kicked out. Everyone was running around and 'Tiger Baiting' me. I had a good Tuesday; everybody was running away from me."

Devall will arrive in Tuscaloosa in June along with the No. 1 rated player in the state of Louisiana, Landon Collins who is a five-star safety.
