Phillips staying home at LSU

Patterson linebacker Lorenzo Phillips has committed to LSU and head coach Les Miles.

LSU fans, welcome commitment No. 21 to the class of 2012.

After a whirlwind week where the Tigers saw two previous commitments end up at other programs, the past few days have brought good fortune to the program - and brought the numbers back to where they were two weeks ago.

On Thursday, former Redemptorist running back Jeremy Hill enrolled at LSU for the spring semester, making the four-star prospect the 20th commitment to the 2012 class.

On Saturday, during his official visit, Patterson four-star linebacker prospect Lorenzo Phillips committed to LSU coach Les Miles.

"I committed, so the visit was all good," Phillips said. "It was home, and I felt like I was already a part of the family when I showed up."
