Tennessee Commit Visits Miami

Crowley (La.) RB Davante' Bourque, a Tennessee commit, visited Miami this weekend. Did the Hurricanes make in-roads on the Vols?

"He's sacked out in the back seat," said Kirk Landry, father of Davante' Bourque.

The Tennessee commit was catching up on his sleep on the ride home to Louisiana following an official visit to Miami.

"He still favors Tennessee," said Landry. "The coaches at Miami were cool. They didn't pressure him for an answer. They know it's a long process and weren't going to push him against the wall to commit right now.

"They're willing to wait."

Nebraska and Arizona State both hope to get Bourque's final official visit.

"I'm going to call Coach (Corey) Raymond at Nebraska today," said Landry. "Tennessee and Nebraska are both coming to Jackson this week to meet with Davante'."

Bourque transferred from Crowley to a school in Mississippi for his final semester.

According to Landry, Bourque received his ACT scores over the weekend and should be academically qualified as a freshman.
