Levingston Visits Bloomington

Indianapolis Cathedral (Ind.) junior WR Sampson Levingston recaps his visit to Indiana and talks about the other schools that are recruiting him.

Indianapolis Cathedral junior wide receiver Sampson Levingston was a key part of this year's state title run, and now, the 6'1, 195-lb prospect is also hoping to catch the eye of college coaches.

Over the weekend, he went to his first junior day, at Indiana, where he had a good time with the Hoosiers.

"It was good. I had a great experience. I went to the basketball game, got to see them win against Penn State, and then took a tour of the facilities and weight room and the academic facilities they have for study hall and the Memorial Stadium they have and everything they have to offer."

Despite some minor injuries, Levingston had a good junior season and the Hoosier coaches said he impressed them on tape.

"They said they saw my film, they liked it and said I fit well into their offense. They said they want me to come down for a couple spring practices and come down for the spring game. With me living in Indianapolis, it's a quick drive for me to come down to Bloomington as much as they need me to. I talked to the caoches. They seemed impresesed and pleased and I'm hoping to hear more from them soon."

In addition to the Hoosiers, Levingston has several others who are recruiting him.

"Miami-Ohio and Duke, Rutgers, I've all talked to in the past week. Rutgers is showing high interest right now. Other schools that have been talking to me since December are Purdue, Iowa, Western Kentucky and Illinois."

Levingston reports a 4.62 forty yard dash and a 36-inch vertical.
