Devall: Ready To Sign

Four-star LB Denzel Devall (Bastrop, La.) is ready to sign with the Alabama Crimson Tide Wednesday. What does Devall have to say? Has he talked to fellow Bama commit Landon Collins, the five-star safety out of Dutchtown High near Baton Rouge?

"I'm ready to sign with Alabama," said Denzel Devall, the four-star linebacker prospect from Bastrop High in northeast Louisiana.

"I just got off the phone with Coach (Lance) Thompson and Coach (Mike) Groh. It was my first time talking with Coach Thompson. He introduced himself and we talked a little football."

Devall expects to be joined by safety Landon Collins in Tuscaloosa. Collins, the five-star prospect out of Dutchtown High, has been the subject of media scrutiny this week.

"I don't know what all happened with Landon, but I talked with him three days ago," said Devall. "He said the same thing thing as me: He's ready to get to T-Town (Tuscaloosa)."

Over the weekend, the Crimson Tide offered four-star junior John Diarse of Neville High School in Monroe.

Devall and Diarse know each other well, having gone head-to-head on the football field during their respective careers.

"We're going to get on John and get him down here with us at Alabama," said Devall.

"I'm excited about the future. It's been a long journey. I'm just ready to ball and start a new chapter in my life come June."
