Thompson Flips

Long-time Texas A&M commit and legacy Corey Thompson went with his head over his heart and decided to switch his verbal pledge to the LSU Tigers.

Multiple sources are reporting that long-time Texas A&M commitment Corey Thompson has decided to switch his verbal pledge to LSU and plans to sign with the Tigers on Wednesday.

Thompson committed to the Aggies last spring and after an official visit to College Station in mid-January, he decided to take a visit to Baton Rouge.

He didn't immediately switch his commitment after returning from LSU and even traveled back to College Station this past Sunday to meet with head coach Kevin Sumlin and new defensive backs coach Marcel Yates. But the allure to play for a dominant SEC defense was apparently too much to ignore leading into tonight's decision.
