The Right Place For Me

After what some would call a dramatic recruiting saga, Dante Fowler finally has a place he feels he can call home. Fowler says it simply: "Florida is the right place for me." Fowler switched from Florida State to Florida on Signing Day and had quite a few 'Noles and Gators biting their fingernails in anticipation. Find out why Fowler chose UF in this exclusive interview.

It's a relief and a weight off his shoulders. Dante Fowler says he can finally relax and look forward to his college career.

"I'm just glad I got it over with," he said after announcing his intentions to play at Florida in college.

Fowler says the decision was not as difficult as some thought it would be. At the end of the day, it came down to coach Will Muschamp.

"Coach Muschamp is a defensive minded coach and that means a lot to me. I fit well in their system at Florida and I see myself playing early there. I know it will be hard work but I really feel comfortable with that coaching staff and this was the right decision. Florida is the right place for me."

Fowler says he has already been recruiting other players to join him in Gainesville.

"I wanted Tracy Howard to commit to Florida with me but I guess he's going to Miami. Now, I'm hoping Nelson Agholor commits to UF. We have a great class and I'm just glad I'm finally part of it."
