Latham Racks Up the Offers

North Central (Ind.) junior defensive lineman Darius Latham has seven BCS offers.

Indianapolis North Central defensive tackle Darius Latham has picked up several new offers in the last month, and has seen his recruitment pick up.

"Ole Miss, Purdue, Louisville, Indiana, Minnesota and Tennessee all offered," he told Scout.

On Tuesday, he heard that Michigan was interested.

"I know they want me to give them a call. I have to check with my head coach. He's the one that told me to give them a call."

After he made the call, the Wolverines offered, becoming his seventh BCS offer.

Over the weekend, he visited Bloomington for junior day.

"I just got back from Indiana on Sunday. It was cool. They had nice facilities up there."

At 6'5, 285-lbs, Latham has great size and has the athleticism to also be a starter on the varsity basketball team. He also projects to either side of the ball, but has a preference.

"It's pretty even right now. Schools are telling me both sides. I like the defensive side better."
