Quincy Wilson, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, was as impressive as any athlete in attendance, the Fort Lauderdale University School safety is a top 2014 in Florida.
"I'm out here doing the best I can, and I'm having a lot of fun," Wilson stated. "I'm confident I can compete with anyone out here and I'm hoping to make this team. I like playing 7on7, but I don't like not being able to hit people."
Wilson is going to be a highly-recruited prospect, even though he has two seasons of high school football remaining. He is already drawing interest from top programs.
"I like a lot of schools right now, and I'm not really into recruiting that much," he explained. "I like schools like Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Florida and Ohio State. I always liked watching Terrelle Pryor play. I would say Miami is my favorite school right now."
EVALUATION: Wilson is a top 2014 safety prospect, and he showed a high skill set both days of the Express tryout. He was excellent in coverage, showing a physical nature and great footwork. At the next level, Wilson should be a safety that is equally adept in coverage, as he is in the box defending the run.
Quincy Wilson is the son of former Miami Hurricane defensive back Chad Wilson.
