He and his best friend hit the air for Baton Rouge Friday.
"It was nice," said Morgan, of the visit. "The campus was amazing."
And while the 6'4, 244-pounder enjoyed his first visit to the University, and was happy to learn more about the school and the program, he admitted, "I didn't get a ton of attention. There were a lot of kids there."
"Coach Miles talked to us as a group... I talked to the tight ends coach. He said he liked my film, but he'd have to see what the rest of the coaches thought."
Morgan wasn't too surprised with this, as he and the Tigers have just recently started talking."We'll see where things go," he said.
This was not the case at Baylor two weeks ago.
"They were talking to me about committing," Morgan laughed, "but I'm going to take my time."
"I loved it, though. I felt really at home and really wanted."
He noted, "Baylor has been recruiting me since last spring, so I'm real close with most of the coaching staff… Plus, I know so many people there. I have so many friends that go to Baylor. I was getting tons of calls and text messages last weekend while I was there."
"My mom and I had a great talk with Coach Briles, and the rest of the coaches. She loves it there."
Holding offers from Baylor, Arkansas, and Tulsa, Morgan said the biggest thing that sold them was, "I'm a true tight end, as far as I can block and go out and catch passes… Most of the tight ends out there have started as receivers and have been made into tight ends. They haven't started in the trenches… I've been doing everything with the position my whole life."
With this, the three have noted they see him coming in and competing for starting time as a freshman.
Arkansas gets him this weekend. Stay on FoxSportsNext for details.
