Issah Talks Junior Days

2013 Linebacker Zayd Issah of Central Dauphin High in Harrisburg, Pa., talks to Fight On State about his interest in Penn State, upcoming junior days, and more.

One of the emerging prospects in the Class of 2013 is athlete Zayd Issah of Central Dauphin High in Harrisburg, Pa.

Isaah excels not only on the football field, in the off-season he keeps busy with several other sports.

"I play small forward or power forward," Issah said of basketball. "I also run track in the spring to get faster."

He added, "I run the 100, 200 and do high jump."

Because of Issah's athleticism, plenty of schools are starting to take notice.

"It's started to pick up recently," Issah said of recruiting. "I have received four offers since signing day, and I hear from new schools all the time."

Those offers?

"Temple, Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia," Issah said.

But that isn't all for the Harrisburg, Pa., prospect.

"I am planning on visiting Penn State, Virginia, and Ohio State right now for junior days," Issah said.

Issah plans to visit Penn State for Junior day on February 18th, and is looking forward to meeting the coaching staff.

"I talk to coaches about once a week," Issah said.

Another connection to the Nittany Lions is 2012 commit Evan Schwan.

"Evan and I have played football together since fifth grade," Issah said.

Although Issah is a standout running back for Central Dauphin, he his being recruited mainly as a linebacker and athlete.
