Munger, 6-foot-3, 280-pounds, plays on both sides of the football for Shaker Heights, but might be best suited for defensive tackle at the next level.
He recently visited Ohio State unofficially, and although they did not offer, the Buckeyes are showing much interest in Munger.
"I spoke to Urban Meyer and that was cool," Munger stated. "I also spoke to Coach (Stan) Drayton, and they were both cool. Coach Meyer spoke about the recruiting process, and said to be patient about receiving an offer. Coach Drayton is taking over the Cleveland-area for recruiting, and we get along well."
"They said the defensive coordinator the defensive line coach are checking out my film, but that Urban Meyer will decide if I get offered or not," he added. "I would like to have the Ohio State offer, and it was great being around this new staff. I think they will all be here for a long time, and most of them are from Ohio. I will be going back to Ohio State again later this month."
Munger is also in the process of planning any upcoming unofficial visits, and there are many teams that have issued invitations.
"I'm looking to go to West Virginia on February 11th, and I'm very interested in that program," he reported. "West Virginia has offered me, and it's close to home, so they are high on my list. I'm also very interested in Michigan and I'm trying to decide when to go there, but I will definitely visit there. I like Coach (Brady) Hoke and Coach (Greg) Mattison a lot, and I would love to have that offer."
