Austin Still Looking for No. 1

Dakota Austin, a 2013 cornerback out of Lancaster, Texas, is receiving interest from various schools. He has invites to Junior Days that he prepares to take in the next few weeks.

Dakota Austin, at 5"11' and 165 pounds, walked away with 80 total tackles from his junior season with Lancaster High School.

"I am really physical, but need to get a little stronger," Austin added.

He looks ahead and starts planning for the future, beginning by attending Junior Days, which include Kansas State (March 3rd) and Texas Tech (February 18th).

"I'm excited to go to Texas Tech," said Austin. "One of my teammates (La'Darius Newbold) just committed there, I want to see what all the hype is about!"

And speaking of Kansas State, Austin already has a connection to the Wildcats- his own father played football for them.

Texas, TCU, and Oklahoma have all been in touch with Austin, showing interest in him, but have not offered yet. He also has interest in schools such as LSU and Oklahoma State and will wait to see if they hold any interest in him as well.

"I am planning to go see a few schools and go to some camps," he continued. "I'm just waiting to see what comes up. Whatever happens, happens."
