Top Tight End Has "Great" Visit

Pennsylvania standout Breneman has a positive early impression of his trip to Happy Valley. Fight On State's Cory James caught up with him.

Tight end is a serious position of need for Penn State's Class of 2013. And that made Friday an important day for the Nittany Lions.

Four-star Pennsylvania junior tight end Adam Breneman made an unofficial visit to Happy Valley. According to Fight On State's Cory James, the Camp Hill native enjoyed the trip -- especially meeting new head coach Bill O'Brian.

“It was great,” Breneman said via text.

“Spent a lot of time with Coach O'Brien,” he told James. “Went to lunch with him and spent a lot of time watching film and talking about the offense and what his plan is for me. Also spent time with Coach Strollo and Coach Fitzgerald. Met the whole staff. Coach O'Brien thinks I can come in and play early. It was a great visit.”

John Strollo is Penn State's new tight ends coach. Craig Fitzgerald is the Nittany Lions' new strength coach.

So where does Breneman stand after the visit and what is next on his schedule?

“I'm just taking everything in stride right now,” he told James. “The visit definitely gave me some new things to think about. I will be visiting Ohio State on the 27th.”
