"The Junior Day went good," said Grant Hill. "We went around the campus. We saw the dorms room, locker room, cafeteria, saw the academic hall and spent time with the coaches.
"I didn't really talk to any of the other recruits who were down there. I did speak a little bit to [Eddie] Lacy, D.J. Fluker and Quinton Dial. I spent a lot of time with the coaches."
Hill and his parents spent quality time with the Alabama coaching staff.
"Coach Saban and I talked for a long amount of time," he said. "We talked for about 30 minutes. He talked about what it's like to be a student-athlete at Alabama, what they have to offer and the graduation rate. He talked about how he wants to help build you as a person and help you grow by the time you get in and get out.
"We pretty much spent the whole day with coach Stoutland. He took us around the campus in his own cart. I like him. He seems like a very good coach; he is very straightforward. He seems like he knows what he is talking about and seems like a good mentor."
The 2011 BCS National Champions are currently sitting in the lead for Hill's signature.
"Obviously they are in front for me right now," he said. "I like what they have to offer. I like what I have seen. As soon as I have something to compare it to I may be able to sit down and think about things. Alabama is the only place I have visited. I want to visit other schools before making a decision."
Hill has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and UAB.
"It was exciting to get the new offers especially from the SEC schools," he said. "I feel very honored to receive these offers."
