Fitts enjoys Cal Junior Day

Redlands East Valley (Calif.) defensive lineman Kylie Fitts took in Cal's Junior Day over the weekend. It was the lineman's second Junior Day in as many weeks and he said the Bears moved up his list following the trip.

Kylie Fitts attended USC's Junior Day two weeks ago but said he didn't feel a lot of love from the Trojan staff. That wasn't the case in Berkeley.

"The first thing that happened on the visit was Coach [Todd] Howard pulled me in to his office and told me they were offering a scholarship," Fitts said. "That was a great way to get things started and after that, everything was cool.

"I actually spent a lot of with Coach Howard, who coaches the defensive line. He's a great guy and I loved the campus and the city itself. The football facilities were amazing and the food was incredible too. It was like a huge buffet with everything you could want."

Fitts said California is definitely a player in his recruitment but he's not ready to narrow his list down yet.

"I'm still getting new offers so I don't want to narrow anything down just yet," Fitts said. "Vanderbilt just offered and I'm supposed to call Notre Dame and Arizona State this week and I hear they could offer too.

"I'm going to UCLA's Junior Day this weekend and that should be fun. Maybe in the spring when I have all the offers I think I'll get, that's when I'll really narrow things down and try and focus on a small handful of schools."
