LaBront Scott has held a scholarship offer from Western Kentucky for several months. After his Junior Day visit yesterday, Scott went ahead and pulled the trigger.

"Yes sir, I committed to Western Kentucky," said Scott. "I've felt solid (with WKU) much before the offer was presented," he said.

What was it about the Sun Belt program that sold Scott on them?

"The coaches definitely (sold me). I see a huge turn around in the making at this program. I felt honored that they wanted me to be a part of it," he said.

Scott talked about WKU previously with Scout.com as well.

"I've been keeping up with them. I went to about three games this year and I loved the environment there in Bowling Green. I think the next couple of years they will have really made a name for themselves," Scott said earlier this month.

Scott is the first prospect in Kentucky to make a verbal commitment to Western Kentucky from the 2013 class.
