State of Alabama Notebook

Several prospects in the state of Alabama are collecting scholarship offers and taking visits. Andrew Bone takes a look at the latest news and notes for several of the state's best.

Grant Hill
The Huntsville High School offensive tackle committed to Alabama last week with other scholarship offers coming from Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

Earnest Robinson
The Pinson Valley wide receiver committed to Auburn this past weekend while attending Junior Day. He has other scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, UAB and UCF.

Kamryn Melton
The Dothan High school cornerback committed to Auburn secondary coach Willie Martinez on Saturday. Melton returned to Auburn on Monday and committed to head coach Gene Chizik and defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder.

O.J. Howard
The Autauga Academy tight end took an unofficial visit to Auburn this past weekend for Junior Day. Howard is an Alabama commitment, but he continues to keep his options open during the recruiting process.

Cameron Luper
The Auburn High School athlete snagged an offer from Ole Miss last week and has since added offers from Illinois and North Carolina. Luper also has offers from Southern Miss, Toledo, Utah, UTEP and Vanderbilt.

Cameron Toney
The Huntsville High School linebacker added a scholarship offer from Arkansas Monday night. Vanderbilt offered last week. Several other schools have offered including Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Purdue and Tennessee.

Deon Johnson
The Spanish Fort High School wide receiver, who is the state's top receiver, scored 19 touchdowns during his junior season. Alabama was the first to offer a scholarship. He added an offer from Auburn this past weekend from after attending their Junior Day.

DeAndre Woods
The Clay-Chalkville wide receiver added a new offer from Ole Miss last week. He also has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, UAB and USC.

T.J. McCollum
The Clay-Chalkville High School wide receiver landed his first offer last week from Mississippi State. He is also receiving interest from Alabama and Auburn.

Rod Crayton
The Dadeville High School defensive tackle visited Tennessee and Vanderbilt this past weekend. He was offered by Vanderbilt last week and picked up an offer from Tennessee on the visit. Arkansas also offered last week. Crayton is closing in on 20 scholarship offers which also includes Arizona, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Penn State.

Marquez White
The Northview High School athlete landed his first scholarship offer from Minnesota this past week. He is also receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Southern Miss.

Jacob Chaffin
The Spain Park defensive tackle collected his first scholarship offer from Jacksonville State last week.
