Spearman Grabs Big Ten Offer

Chicago Simeon (Ill.) junior Reggie Spearman discusses his newest offer, the first he has earned from a Big Ten program.

Chicago Simeon's Reggie Spearman has three offers now, Ball State, Toledo, and Indiana, the newest school to offer the 6'2, 200-lb linebacker.

"I was excited," he said of the Hoosier offer. "I finally had all the hard work pay off. It was amazing. I'm going to make an unofficial soon. I'm amazed with the coaches. They want me to be there and they're strong in my recruitment."

Over the weekend, Spearman visited the Hoosiers' in-state, Big Ten rival, and had a good time.

"I went to Purdue. It went good. I got to meet Coach Hope. He was real excited I came out there. I'm going to talk the recruiter from my area, the linebacker coach, this week."

Coming up next, the visits and offseason work continue for him.

"This weekend head up to Iowa State for their junior day and after that, I have the First Class Combine."
