UCLA Junior Day: David Price

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety David Price talks about UCLA's Junior Day and his current college 'wish list.'

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety David Price visited the two Southland schools, USC and UCLA, in the past month, taking in each schools' Junior Day.

At each event, Price had a special visitor: His cousins.

Sheldon Price, a cornerback at UCLA, and Marquis Simmons, a linebacker at USC, are both related to Price.

Those family ties, plus the proximity of each school to his hometown, has the rivals atop his college 'wish list.' Rounding out his top-five are Oregon, California and Miami.

On UCLA Price said, "the campus is nice. It's a big campus, I like it. And it's not too far away from home."

As for USC, the 6-1, 200-pounder notes the Trojans "are always a powerhouse. They have a good defense and they're local."

And Price touched on the Ducks, too, a close third to the L.A.-based universities. "They're coming up now recently and I like the uniforms. I don't want to get too far away from home but it's still close that I can come home on holidays."

The safety plans to take unofficial visits to Miami and Florida State in the summer and possibly Washington within the month. He hopes to visit ASU on an unofficial, too. Four of Price's teammates signed with the Sun Devils in 2012.

He has no time frame for his decision, but hopes to figure it out as his offers expand. He currently holds one from SMU.
