La Mirada Trio Gets Offers

Colorado offers three teammates from La Mirada (Calif.) on Wednesday morning...

Colorado has been actively recruiting the West Coast since their move to the Pac-12 a year ago and the Buffs have been arguably the most aggressive team in the conference in the early goings of the 2013 class.

But the Buffs aren't just spending time on juniors, with Colorado offering a sophomore and a freshman on Wednesday morning.

Former Colorado quarterback Mike Moschetti, now the head coach at La Mirada (Calif.), had three of his players receive verbal offers from his alma mater on Wednesday.

"Colorado just offered Tyler Luatua, Kevin Dillman and Koa Kaleopaa," said Moschetti.

From that group, only Kaleopaa is in the 2013 class. The 6-3.5, 250-pounder anchored the Matadores defense in 2011.

Luatua, a 2014 prospect, was offered on Monday by UCLA, and the Buffs followed suit on Wednesday, offering the 6-4, 230-pounder who had 23 receptions for 251 yards and a touchdown this past season as a sophomore. His older brother, Isaac, redshirted at Alabama this past fall on the Tide's National Championship team.

Dillman was offered by UCLA on Wednesday morning and the Buffs joined the fray just hours later. The 6-4, 205-pounder was 18-for-26 for 216 yards with two touchdowns as a freshman and ran for 103 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown as the backup. Dillman has also played for the USA Football Under-15 squad.
