2013 Intro: WR Lincoln Collins

Since his junior season ended, Boston College (MA) High wideout Lincoln Collins has traveled and campaigned in order to improve his stock. It has worked, as local schools are beginning to take notice.

Boston College (MA) High wideout Lincoln Collins is still seeking his first scholarship offer, but the 2013 prospect is closer than he was last month when his recruitment was virtually non-existent.

"I am receiving interest from a few schools now, so things are looking up." said the 6-foot-4, 180-pound WR. "I have been talking to UMass, Temple, Penn State and UMaine recently."

To help gain momentum in early January, Collins participated in the inaugural Proving Ground Combine in Arizona. From there, he took in a Junior Day at nearby Massachusetts.

"It was great." he admitted. "I really liked the coaching staff and their plans for the upcoming years."

Collins, who plans on camping at Temple and Penn State in the near future, is still waiting to hear from some of his favorite schools.

Said Collins, "I would love to receive interest from Connecticut, Cincinnati and Rutgers just to show them what I got."

As for what he has as a prospect, the junior's size has most of the college programs interested. Couple that with sure hands and and the ability to haul in passes at the highest point, and Collins has the making of an FBS receiver despite lacking only top-end speed.
