Four-star prospect Rickey Jefferson (Destrehan HS) has added a handful of recent offers. Find out what's happening with Jefferson and other prospects around the state inside...

  • LSU was first to offer Rickey Jefferson (Destrehan) and Ole Miss, USC, Houston, Tennessee and Florida State have all followed suit. Jefferson says he expects to receive an offer from Alabama over the summer. He is the younger brother of Jordan Jefferson, the former QB at LSU. Rickey could play WR or DB in college.

  • Texas A&M offered Jermaine Antoine, the WR/DB out of Class 2A Loreauville yesterday. Antoine attended the Aggies' recent Junior Day. Head coach Kevin Sumlin is considering Antoine as a cornerback and kick returner.

  • Eugene Brazley and Raheem Falkins of Carver are committed to Ole Miss and Alabama, respectively. A storied program that produced Marshall Faulk, Carver will officially cease to exist in a few years. The New Orleans Recovery School District announced in January that Collegiate Academies, a charter program, will take over the ninth grade class at Carver this fall. Thus, the current freshman class at Carver will be the last group to come through as Rams. The school's enrollment dwindled from Class 4A to 2A after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the 9th Ward.

  • North Texas offered Donald Gage (Redemptorist), and the Mean Green might extend an offer to St. Charles Catholic DT Taylor Cochran at Junior Day this weekend. Cochran's best friend, St. Charles DE/LB La'Jaylin Smith, signed with North Texas last month.

  • John Curtis offensive lineman Brandon Godfrey attended a Tulane practice this week. Godfrey's older brother Jerry played at Tulane. Brandon spent time at both center and offensive tackle last year for the Class 2A state champion Patriots.

  • Winnfield DE Michael Patterson was offered by Mississippi State. He says the Bulldogs lead, followed by Texas A&M and then Nebraska. Patterson hasn't heard from the Huskers yet, but he hopes to get a look from head coach Bo Pelini. Nebraska signed Winnfield athlete (QB/WR/DB) Alonzo Moore last month.

  • When DBs coach Corey Raymond switched jobs, moving from Nebraska to LSU, there was instant speculation that Trevell Dixon (West St. Mary) would switch his pledge from the Huskers to the Tigers. Will LSU offer Dixon? The Tigers signed his teammate, offensive tackle Jerald Hawkins, last month.

  • LSU commit Jeryl Brazil went to Ole Miss Junior Day last weekend but says he's firm to Les Miles and the staff in Baton Rouge.

  • Port Allen LB Darian Claiborne was scheduled to meet with LSU's staff last week but that never happened. In the meantime, the Tigers offered linebacker Reggie Chevis out of Texas.

  • '14 RB Leonard Fournette (St. Augustine) reports offers from over 100 programs (105 to be exact). Fournette has grown three inches (from 5-11 to 6-2) since he was a freshman. St. Augustine hired former South Plaquemines head coach Cyril Crutchfield several days ago as its new head coach.

  • John Curtis LB Duke Riley (and teammate Brandon Godfrey) trekked to Fort Worth last weekend for TCU's Junior Day. The Horned Frogs have offered Riley.
