Every player that works hard can give you some examples of things they need to do to get better. Acker is no different. He also thinks this could be a very good year for Hattiesburg High.

"I want to get better on running my routes. You can never be too good at that. I want to make sure that I make every play that can be made this coming year. I want to get my speed down. I run in the 4.5 range but I want to be faster then that. I think we have the team to make it to Jackson this year. We have relied on my junior class for so long, and this year we will be seniors and will step up and be leaders."

Acker describes the kind of player he see's himself.

"I consider myself a deep threat. They throw the ball up and I go get it. If I get my hands on it, I catch it. I would like to have a chance to play baseball in college if that is possible."

Three schools have taken notice of Acker. He talks about those three school's.

"I am hearing from Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and UL. Mississippi State invited me to their junior day. I really like the coaches there and the offense they run. Southern Miss is right here so I know a lot about them. They say I an play baseball and football. UL has invited me down for their junior day as well. They want to get me to camp so they can see what can do in person. I plan on camping at all three schools."
