Texas Gets Lineman for No. 12

The Longhorns grabbed commitment No. 12 on Monday, and the pledge came from one of the top targets on the in-state board.

Darius James, the Longhorns' top interior offensive line target, picked Texas Monday, just a few days after cancelling a visit to Oklahoma's Junior Day.

A center for Harker Heights, James teamed up with current Texas offensive tackle Camrhon Hughes last fall to give the Knights one of the top rushing attacks in their district. James also played defensive tackle, but figures to play offense for the Longhorns, where his size (6-5 320) is elite for an interior prospect.

James is also the teammate of Longhorn commitment Naashon Hughes.
