Midlands: Top Five RBs

FRISCO, Texas -- FOXSportsNext takes a look at the top five rated running backs in the Midlands region for the 2013 class.

1. Keith Ford

School: Cy-Ranch (Tx.)
Height: 5'11
Weight: 195
College Interest: Oklahoma (Committed)

A bruising running back. He has quick feet and can make people miss in the open field and tacklers tend to slide right off of him. He is explosive in the hole and does not waste movements. Great vision.

2. Ezekiel Elliot

School: John Burrughs (Mo.)
Height: 6'0
Weight: 195
College Interest: Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio State, Nebraska, Wisconsin

Elliot is a complete back. He has prototypical running back size to go with excellent top end speed. He can hit it hard in the middle and bust long runs. He also has a nice set of hands.

3. Dontre Wilson

School: DeSoto (Tx.)
Height: 5'10
Weight: 180
College Interest: Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State

This guy is a pure speed demon. If he gets a crease he will make defenses pay. He can split out wide and also provide reps as a wide receiver. A real danger with the ball in his hands.

4. Kyle Hicks

School: Arlington Martin (Tx.)
Height: 5'10
Weight: 185
College Interest: Texas (Committed)

A versatile player. He is an excellent playmaker and is yet another player who catches the ball well out of the backfield. He was a lock down corner as a sophomore, so he could play defense too in college.

5. Jamel James

School: Cinco Ranch (Tx.)
Height: 6'0
Weight: 210
College Interest: Arkansas (Committed)

Throwback running back fans will love this kid's game. He loves to flatten defenders and is the guy who you would look to give the ball to in key short yardage situations, but is more than that.

The Next Five: James White (Pearland Dawson, Tx.), Laquvionte Gonzalez (Cedar Hill, Tx.), Adam Taylor (Katy, Tx.), Corion Webster (Atlanta, Tx.), Darius Graham (Lawton Mac, Okla.)
