Chevis Gets Baylor Offer

2013 middle linebacker Reggie Chevis picked up his 8th offer from Baylor this week.

4-Star recruit, Reggie Chevis, out of Sharpstown High School in Houston, Texas picked up his eighth offer from Baylor this week. The talented prospect, who's ranked sixth in the nation at middle linebacker, was happy to add another offer to his long list.

"I'm very excited," Chevis said. "I'm very blessed. Kendal Briles (Recruiting Coordinator) called me and told me. I was happy. I'm just thanking God. I like everything about Baylor. The recruiting coach has been honest with me from day one. I've known him since last year too, so we have a good relationship."

The 6'1 245-pound recruit also has offers from LSU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Washinton State, Iowa State, Illinois and Boise State.

This weekend, Chevis is in Baton Rouge visiting LSU after receiving an offer from the Tigers recently.

"I'm just sitting back enjoying the recruiting process," Chevis said. "I've been to LSU before. I've had my eyes open. I'm just visiting them again after the offer."

Chevis also plans to visit Rice next Saturday.
