Baugh talks ASU Junior Day

Riverside (Calif.) J.W North tight end Marcus Baugh attended Arizona State's Junior Day over the weekend and said the Sun Devils made a very nice impression on him.

Marcus Baugh is the top tight end in the West region and top five nationally as well. He's an elite athlete with good size and get make plays down the field.

"I loved it at Arizona State, it was really nice," Baugh said. "Everything stood out for me but the coaches were probably the main thing. I spent a lot of time with the staff and really liked Coach Long, the tight end coach, a lot. I loved the campus, the city and just felt very comfortable there."

Baugh said he didn't know a lot about the Sun Devils prior to the visit but they're now a serious contender.

"They moved way up," Baugh said. "I'm definitely giving them a strong look now. I might do an official visit there in the fall but regardless, I'm very high on ASU. They impressed me a lot and I like the future of the program and how they plan to use me. They like to throw the ball around and I think I could fit in really well there.

"I also got an offer from Hawaii this morning and that was cool because that's where my mom is from. Things are good right now and I'm not ready to narrow my list down but I should be able to do something like that towards the end of the summer."
