"It should be a big week for me," said Brendan Marshall, who currently holds offers from Virginia and California. Marshall will be making his way to Charlottesville (Va.) this Wednesday to meet with UVa head coach Mike London and company to hopefully give them a "yes."
"I think it is most likely scenario," Marshall answered in response to if he will indeed pull the trigger. "I talked to the quarterback coach and he told me to come up and talk with coach London face-to-face and watch film. During this trip I could give them my verbal if everything goes as planned."
Well, what could possibly go wrong? I asked. "Well, they know I am coming up and talking about committing, but it's more than just committing, it's getting to know coach London more and looking at the playbook." This will mark Marshall's fourth visit to UVa, and his first time sitting down with London for an in-depth conversation. "I have met him multiple times, but I haven't had a chance to sit down with him for a long period of time."
So, assuming the dialogue proves promising on both ends, this will result in a commitment for UVa, a program he can transition into nicely, he describes.
"UVa is an amazing school, and I fit in good with their system because they run the pro-style offense. As far as transitioning from high school to college, it will be easier for me in the pro-style system."
Marshall will be in Charlottesville Wednesday and plans to return to Maryland that evening. For more on Marshall's recruitment, keep it logged on to FOX Sports NEXT.
