Quick Hitter: WVU offers 3-Star QB

Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem high signal-caller Bucky Hodges gets an offer from West Virginia.

West Virginia's high-powered attack is appealing to Virginia Beach, Va. Salem high signal-caller Bucky Hodges.

"I like their offense a lot. I love the way they play," said Bucky, and according to the 6-foot-5, 200-pound pro-style quarterback, the Mountaineers like him, too. "They love the way I play. They said I could be a good replacement when Geno leaves." That is certainly attractive to Hodges when he looks to narrow down his list.

Bucky is becoming a hot commodity on the recruiting trail. In addition to the Mountaineers, Ohio State, Illinois, Connecticut, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia, James Madison are vying for his services, but Hodges remains open.

Scout.com lists Hodges as a three-star, 38th ranked quarterback. For the latest on his recruitment, check back with us at FOX Sports NEXT.
