2013 Intro: Lakewood (Fla) QB

Tracy Johnson is a standout quarterback from Lakewood High in St. Pete so lets take a closer look at him as a prospect.

Name: QB Tracy Johnson

School: Lakewood HS (St. Petersburg, Fla)

Size: 6-1/170

2011 season stats: Johnson was one of the leading passers in the Tampa/St Pete area as a junior, throwing for 2,015 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Grades: 3.3 GPA/23 ACT score

Recruiting: "Right now I like USC, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma," Johnson said. "I didn't really have a favorite growing up."

Johnson, who says he hasn't received any scholarship offers yet, lists "academic program rate and the number of people going to the NFL from each school" as some of the main factors he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

As a Prospect: Johnson put his name on the recruiting map with a strong junior season for a very good Lakewood team. He's very athletic and can beat teams with his arm or his feet. He's very good at making things happen when the pocket collapses and he has the ability to make a lot of the throws. He's a very good student, too, and should emerge as a legit Division 1 quarterback prospect this spring for the 2013 class.
