Samples, Parents Visit Stillwater

Ra'Shaad Samples did make the trip from Dallas to Oklahoma State for a visit during the Cowboys spring football practice on Thursday, as it was reported earlier in the week by recruiting analyst Ahmard Vital. Samples, the four-star wide receiver that plays for his father, Reginald, who is the head coach at Dallas Skyline High School, was accompanied by his father and his mother.

The Samples came into town early and had lunch before arriving at Boone Pickens Stadium to check out the facilities and also watch the Cowboys first practice in full pads of the spring.

During his time on campus, Samples spoke to wide receivers coach Kasey Dunn (who also happens to be his recruiting coach), offensive coordinator Todd Monken and head coach Mike Gundy.

He also spent time with Richetti Jones, one of his dad's former players during his time as head coach at Dallas Lincoln. Jones sat down and talked to his former coach and his family. Cowboys fans know few people can sell OSU any better than Richetti Jones.

The 5-11, 175-pound Samples is a rock hard athlete that certainly looks the part, and he is a very humble young man. He caught 65 passes for 1,369 yards and 20 touchdowns last season.

This spring he has already been on campuses at TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M.
