IMG 7v7: O'Shay Carter

If any player passed the look test at last weekend's IMG 7on7 in Bradenton, Florida, it was O'Shay Carter. The Jacksonville quarterback is already receiving recruiting attention, and holds four offers to date.

Jacksonville Trinity Christian Academy quarterback O'Shay Carter is one of Florida's top 2013 prospects, and he participated in last weekend's IMG 7on7 tournament in Bradenton, Florida.

Carter is attracting recruiting attention, and he currently holds four offers, with several programs showing interest.

"Rice was a big offer for me, because that's my home town," Carter began. "Florida Atlantic has offered, and I will be visiting there next weekend to learn more about them. FAMU has also offered, but I haven't really spoken to them all that much. Central Florida also offered, and I visited there on Friday and loved it. I definitely like them a lot."

"South Carolina told me they will be at our spring practices watching me," he added. "Troy is also very interested, as is South Florida. My dream school is Virginia Tech, and I would love to hear from them. I've followed them since I was little."

Carter, 6-foot-4, 230-pounds, led the Red Zone team both days at the IMG event, and authored wins against top competition.

"My strength as a quarterback is my leadership ability," he explained. "I can be a player that puts the team on my back, and gets the job done. I want to be better at recognizing coverages, and seeing things quicker out on the field."
