A Trio of Options for Robinson

North Louisiana always produces a fair number of college football prospects. One of the top offerings from the Shreveport area is Woodlawn product Chris Robinson. With a trio of early offers and interest from the home state Tigers, Robinson is pleased with how things have gone so far.

"I have offers from Mississippi State, Texas and Ole Miss," said Robinson. "I went to junior day at LSU and they are showing me some interest, but not too much right now."

The unofficial visit to Baton Rouge is the only recruiting trip that the talented defensive tackle has taken so far this year.

"I went to a Texas game last year," said Robinson. "I was supposed to go to Mississippi State, but I couldn't get a ride.

"I know this summer I am going to camps at Texas and Mississippi State and I will probably go to LSU for their camp too.

"I have been talking a lot with Coach (Chris) Wilson at Mississippi State, so I know I am going to their camp for sure."

The 6-2, 265 pounder believes he has a lot to offer a college program especially on the defensive front wall.

"I have been playing D tackle since my freshman year," said Robinson. "That's what I want to play in college too.

"I like it a lot and I am real comfortable playing inside and making plays."

The spring evaluation period will certainly bring a number of college coaches through Woodlawn High School to get a look at Robinson in action.

Schools still collecting info on Robinson appear to have some time to make a move.

"I don't have a favorite school right now," said Robinson. "I am going to wait and make a decision next year some time, probably February.

"I am looking for a good school with good academic programs and a good environment."
