Lineman taking his time

Reeve Koehler has a familiar last name to Arizona fans, but will have a different recruitment. Read on to see where he stands, the schools he is looking at, and more.

Honolulu St. Louis School offensive lineman Reeve Koehler may have a familiar last name, as his brother Solomon was a highly regarded recruit that wound up transferring from Arizona. While some may think that would put Arizona out of contention with Reeve, he says that is not the case.

"Solomon is Solomon," Reeve said. "We are different people. Our personalities are very different. Sol's choice was Sol's choice and his experience will not affect anything with my recruitment."

Arizona is just one of the schools that Koehler is hearing from, as numerous members of the Pac-12 have been actively recruiting him.

"Recruiting is going well right now," Koehler said. "I am hearing the most from Oregon, Hawaii, Arizona State, and Colorado. Arizona also talks to me, but probably a little less than the other schools I mentioned."

As Koehler goes through the recruiting process, he has a good idea of what he will be looking for in a school.

"I want to make sure I go to a school where I will have a good relationship with the coach," he said. "I also want a place with good academic support that can help me stay in school with tutors."

Koehler is not sure when he will be taking any visits or to where, but says that he has already visited on local school.

"None of my visits are set yet," he said. "I did go to Hawaii and was able to dit down and talk with Norm Chow."

In terms of a final decision, Koehler does not have any intentions of making one any time soon.

"I plan on deciding after I take my visits and hopefully announcing it at an All-American game that I decide to go to."
