Jonathan Jackson is one of the top prospects in Kentucky's 2013 class. So it comes as no surprise that he's getting a lot of attention from multiple schools. But Jackson recently began hearing more from Vanderbilt and took a visit to the school this past weekend.

The 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker checked out the Commodores and was very excited about what he witnessed with the program.

"It was great," said Jackson. "The campus is nice. It isn't too far away (from Mayfield) and I like the city," he said.

Jackson was really impressed with Vandy Head Coach James Franklin.

"Coach Franklin is what impressed me the most. I like that he's down to earth. He's a real cool guy. He has his sight set on nothing but winning. They aren't going to settle for anything less," he finished.

Jackson has an offer from Western Kentucky and is hearing from Louisville, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, USC and Penn State.

The junior had 156 tackles and five interceptions as a junior.
