Briggs To Visit Broncos

2013 offensive lineman Tate Briggs has several visits coming up and talks about what he is looking for – plus a big honor he received.

Montini Catholic High offensive lineman Tate Briggs is continuing to see his recruiting process heat up.

"I am going to Western Michigan Saturday," Briggs said. "They seem very interested."

The Lombard, Ill., prospect is looking for his first offer, will make several other visits in the near future.

"I am set up for Purdue on April 9-10," Briggs said. "And I definitely want to get to Michigan State and Arkansas."

He added, "Plus I have heard from the Wisconsin coaches a little."

And on those visits, there are several things that Briggs is looking for.

"I am going to look at the engineering programs," Briggs said. "And then look for where I feel comfortable with the coaching staff and their future plans for the program."

Plus, Briggs had some other big news, this time regarding a different sport.

"I just broke the state record for the 16 year old, 308 weight class in the bench press," Briggs said. "I benched 380 pounds."

Other than visits, the next step for Briggs is weightlifting nationals.
