Florida QB recaps great Bama visit

John O'Korn took an unofficial visit to Alabama a couple days ago and Scout caught up with him to recap it all.

"It was an amazing experience," John O'Korn said. "Everything about the visit was perfect and it was a lot better than I expected. I had no idea how beautiful the campus was until I got there."

O'Korn, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, is a talented quarterback from St. Thomas Aquinas High. He talked about the time he spent with his position coach.

"I spent a lot of time with Coach Nussmeier. I got to sit in on a couple meetings and he taught me a little bit of their offense. I feel like I could pick it up really quickly."

O'Korn also spent time with the head man at Bama.

"I also got to spend time with Coach Saban. I really liked him a lot. He seemed very interested in having me play for him and wants me to come work 1on1 with him at camp this summer before he offers me."

So what was the favorite part for O'Korn?

"My favorite part about the visit was that I got to spend time with Coach Cochran. I don't think there's another strength coach in the country like him. I loved his passion; he's energetic all the time. I feel like working with him would be huge for my development. We also talked a lot about having huge expectations for yourself and he inspired me to write down all the goals I want to achieve."

The standout quarterback prospect has BCS offers from USF and North Carolina so far but should see many more come his way this spring.
