Travis decided to make his decision today while he was at practice with his dad and uncle. "I love the place and I love the city." After having a chance to see the facilities and the dorms on his visit, "I decided today that this is my home." And, the excitement of committing overwhelmed Travis. "My mind is blowing up right now." Travis also feels that being the first commit in the 2013 is special. He is now looking forward to talking to other recruits about coming to Georgia Tech.

The coaches like Travis as a B-Back but there is also the possibility that he could play A-Back. While on his visit Travis sat in on the B-Backs meeting with Coach Brian Bohannon. "I envisioned how I could play at that position." The 6'-210 Custis is not known as a back that shies away from contact. Travis is a straight ahead downhill runner. "I just like to run over the linebackers."

Prior to his recruitment by Georgia Tech, Travis has been working out with current Tech player Chris Jackson. Both worked out with the same personal trainer in the off-season.

Travis has always wanted to get his recruitment over before the start of his senior year. With his commitment to Georgia Tech, he'll now have that chance. Custis was excited about getting home to tell his mom and brother. The chance for the family to see him play his college ball is something that will make everyone in the family happy.
