There were several high school coaching staffs at Oklahoma State's practice on Monday including the Port Neches Grove, Texas staff. But the Cowboys were also hosting one of the top 2013 football prospects in the nation in safety Vonn Bell of Rossville (Ridgeland), Ga.
The 6-1, 197-pound, 4.47 speedster can do it all in the secondary. Bell had 180 total tackles, 119 solo tackles, five interceptions, three forced fumbles and three recoveries for touchdowns during the 2011 season as a junior. He added 31 receptions for 487 yards and six touchdowns on the offensive side of the football.
Bell is on spring break this week and has been to Texas and is going to Arkansas as well as several other SEC destinations before heading home.
In addition to Oklahoma State, Bell has scholarship offers offers from Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, LSU, Clemson, Florida, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Notre Dame, and UCLA among others.
It appeared that Bell was having a good visit as he interacted with several coaches including head coach Mike Gundy and Van Malone.
