Wells Commits to Mississippi State

Brandon Wells visited Mississippi State for the first time this past weekend. After tonight's news, Wells and his family will be making several return trips to Starkville, Mississippi. The talented wide out committed to Coaches Chris Wilson and Dan Mullen earlier this evening.

"I committed tonight," said Wells. "I am excited and I was glad to get it done.

"I told Coach Wilson and then I got to talk to Coach Mullen. Coach Wilson told me he felt like getting up and dancing."

Wells was leaning the Bulldogs' way prior to his junior day visit, but the time on campus pushed him to make his commitment rather than hold out for additional offers.

"After going up there this past weekend and meeting the coaches, I knew that was the place for me," said Wells. "I really like the campus and all of the facilities.

"I feel like it's the best place for me."

The Bulldogs are targeting Wells as an outside receiver who can stretch the field.

Brandon believes that fits his skills just fine.

"I feel like I am going to make some plays at Mississippi State," said Wells. "I like what Coach Mirando said about how they use their receivers.

"I want to be a part of that and I want to play to the best of ability to help the team win in the SEC."
