Wolverines Offer Pagano

Honolulu (Haw.) Moanalua defensive tackle Scott Pagano has added Michigan to his list of over twenty offers…

The recruiting spotlight has been on Honolulu (Haw.) Moanalua defensive tackle Scott Pagano for some time, and it doesn't look like it will be dying down anytime soon.

"Yea, things are still pretty crazy. I just got off the phone with coach Montgomery from Michigan and they offered," said Pagano. "They were a school that I was thinking about. I thought I was too far away to get an offer, but I'm really happy with it."

Pagano also picked up a Pac-12 offer earlier this week.

"California is a great school," said Pagano. "I've been watching them since the start of my junior year, I would like to take a visit there. "

Pagano had previously made the decision to announce his college choice on August 10th, before the start of his senior season. As of now, he is still on track for that decision.

"As of right now yes," said Pagano. "I am probably not going to take any visits in the spring. In the summer I am going to visit Oregon and Oregon State for sure, I have my football camp there. I would like to visit Washington and Cal… Then Stanford and USC if they offer, I would go visit."

Pagano has been hearing pitches from programs and coaches all over the country and he talked about what has stood out so far.

"The coaching and how they talk about their practice... what they are doing right now," said Pagano. "I think about how I would fit into their defense. The programs that have gone from down to up, trying to bring the school back to a BCS program."

Pagano is doing his best to stay busy this spring, lifting and training as much as possible.

"Just training, I have been doing speed work. Trying to get faster and more flexible, so I can be better at changing directions," said Pagano. "I have been doing more explosive lifts, cleans and snatches."
