Price staying patient

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive back David Price is staying patient with the recruiting process and hoping for a few more offers.

You don't see to many three year starters at Poly as the Jackrabbits are annually one of the top programs in the region. David Price has been an all-state underclass selection his sophomore year but surprisingly, he hasn't seen his results on the field result in much of a bump in his recruitment.

"SMU is still my only offer," Price said. "I keep hearing UCLA could be close to offering as well but nothing has happened with them yet. All of the Pac 12 are sending letters and I'm hearing from a few others like Illinois, Georgia and even some Ivy league schools.

"I just put up my tape a few weeks ago and hopefully once colleges see that, I'll get a few more offers. I'm not really stressing over it, I think the tape speaks for itself."

As for what school is standing out, Price said it's the hometown Bruins.

"UCLA is recruiting me the hardest and I'm feeling them a lot," Price said. "The coaching staff is real cool and I like the location. It's close to home so my family can come and see me play any time. "I like USC and Oregon too but they're not recruiting me as hard as UCLA right now. I'm not in any hurry to make a decision though, I'm going to go through the process for sure."
