Newby confirms Nebraska visit

There might be two running back spots in the 2012-13 class potentially and in looking back to the 2011 class there is little chance that Nebraska takes multiple running backs with similar physical traits again. Expect Nebraska to go bigger for one and speedier for the other. Terrell Newby could fill that speedy spot nicely.

West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade College Prep running back, Terrell Newby, will be heading to the Midwest this weekend. The standout running back says that he will get in Lincoln, Nebr. this Friday for the spring game this weekend.

"I am getting there Friday," Newby said. "I am taking the trip with my dad. I am looking forward to seeing the facilities there, obviously the game and a full stadium on Saturday."

Newby says that he's been in contact with a couple of coaches at Nebraska. He has a recruiting coach, which he speaks with the most, and his position coach that assists in the recruiting process with things about the position and the offense.

"My recruiting coach is Rich Fisher and Ron Brown is the position coach that I talk to as well. Coach Fisher really is the one recruiting me and I talk to Coach Brown about more in-depth information about the position and what's going on."

BigRedReport will be in touch with Newby while he's in Lincoln and will bring you the latest about Newby and all of the recruits in town this weekend as soon as it breaks.
