Laster Talks Buckeye Visit

De'Niro Laster is one of Ohio's top prospects, and he is a player that can project to either side of the football. Laster now holds six offers and Monday he took an unofficial visit to Ohio State.

Cleveland Heights is a program on the rise in Ohio, and one of their more talented players is versatile athlete De'Niro Laster.

Laster, 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, plays both tight end and wide receiver on offense, while starring at linebacker on the defensive side of the ball. He visited Ohio State this past Monday.

"It was nice, and I've been there before so I knew what to expect," Laster said of his visit. "They want to see me in camp so they can evaluate me further, and I plan on being there next summer. I know I need to be at my best in front of the coaches, so I know what I need to do."

"They are recruiting me as a linebacker, even though some schools see me as a wide receiver," he added. "I talked to my former teammate, Antonio Underwood, and he loves it there. I also spoke to Coach (Stan) Drayton, and he told me could see I was getting bigger. I liked it there, and I always like going down there."

Laster holds six offers, including Cincinnati, but is hopeful more could be headed his way.

"I'm hearing from Cincinnati and Kentucky a lot," he explained. "Kentucky told me they need to see me in person before they offer, so I'm going to get there this spring for sure. I'm also hearing from Minnesota a lot, and I'm expecting that offer."
