Miles Checks Out Pitt

Miles picked up a Pitt offer a few weeks ago. He reports of his trip to Pitt for spring practice.

Antoine Miles, a 6-3, 250-pound defensive lineman out of Canton (OH) McKinley High School. Miles recently picked up a Pitt offer, and was able to get over to Pittsburgh for a spring practice. As a junior this past season, Miles racked up 54 tackles, 12 tackles for losses and five sacks.

"I've been hearing from a ton of schools," Miles added. "I went went on visit to Pittsburgh and watched one of their spring practices at their facility. It was very nice. I went down there with one of my teammates. I enjoyed their campus. It was my first time there."

Miles didnt say anything specific about the Pitt practice--only that he liked it. His favorite part of the practice was something specific in regards to a piece of equipment.

"It was nice to see football going on," Miles added. "My high school team doesn't practice, we only lift and work out. The one thing I really liked (about Pitt) was their helmets. They have the soft cushion padding on the inside of their helmets."

Miles likes the new coaching staff, even though most of his contact has been between the Pitt coaches and his high school coaches. Even though he already has the offer from Pitt, he plans one being back in Pittsburgh for one of the prospect camps in June.

"It's nice to have a new coaching staff, they're bringing a lot of new things," Miles said. "I know I'm coming back for the Pitt game for sure. I'm not sure about the others."
