Miami Nike Camp: Top QB's

The Nike Training Camp stopped in Miami on Sunday and Scout was there for all the action. Lets take a look at the top quarterbacks at the event.

MVP: Sean White. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, White was outstanding all day. He threw lasers all over the field to a lot of different receivers. He showed very good accuracy. He paid close attention in drills. He showed a competitive drive and good learning habits. He's only a rising junior at Chaminade Madonna High but he's going to be a major prospect in the 2014 class. He threw for 2,001 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just five picks last season for a team that went 9-2 and got knocked out by the eventual state champs.

Top 2013 Prospect: John O'Korn. At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, he's never even been a full-time starter at St. Thomas Aquinas yet. He will be this year and has all the tools to have a banner senior season there. He has the size, arm, and football mind you want in a quarterback. O'Korn has offers from South Florida, UCF, and North Carolina and is also being recruited by several others including Alabama and Florida.

Sleeper: Kurt Benkert. The Island Coast standout doesn't have many offers yet but it's probably only a matter of time. He's 6-foot-3, he has a live arm, he was very productive as a junior, and should generate a lot of recruiting buzz this spring.

Top Notable: John Franklin. The South Plantation standout plays quarterback and worked out with them on Sunday. However, his best position will likely be wide receiver. He's 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds with a tremendous amount of athleticism. He will likely generate a lot of major college offers this spring -- as a quarterback and as a wide receiver (or even maybe DB).
