When watching Sprinkle play it is easy to see he plays the game with a purpose. Built with a solid frame, Sprinkle is athletic and has great initial quickness off the ball. At this time his game is about rushing the passer and he excels using basically one power move combined with his quickness.

Sprinkle shows above average lateral speed and quickness showing the ability to react to plays away from him in the run game.

At the high school level Sprinkle is able to tee off and cause havoc to opposing quarterbacks. However, while he shows the ability to neutralize and anchor blockers by himself, he must improve his ability to beat and release from the block quicker. Right now he plays on the edge but must also show the ability to play inside if needed.

Sprinkle has a high ceiling as he brings great athletic ability on a frame that can get bigger without losing quickness or flexibility.

When watching film you find a player with great recoil in the lower and upper bodies and that equals power. When added to the recruiting haul Ohio State brought in the 2012 class, you can see the Buckeyes are starting to build future depth along the defensive line.
