Wisconsin Sophomore Visits Gophers

Hartland Arrowhead (Wisc.) sophomore OL George Panos recaps his Minnesota visit and looks ahead to his next trip.

Hartland Arrowhead offensive lineman George Panos is one of the top sophomores in the Badger State and he's starting to hear from more schools, including the Golden Gophers of Minnesota, who he visited last week.

"I went to Minnesota on Friday," he said, "and I was going to go again on Saturday for their spring game but we decided we didn't want to take the drive again."

Despite the drive, the 6'4, 285-lb Panos says he had a good time on his visit.

"Minnesota was really great. It was really impressive and I talked to Coach Zebrowski, their offensive line coach, Coach Limegrover, who I think is my primary recruiter and Coach Kill."

Panos is currently without an offer, but the Gophers did tell him they would like to see more of him.

"They talked about how I could be part of something special when they turn their program around and how they'd love to have me in camp this year and to come down for a couple games this fall."

A Wisconsin legacy, that will be the next school Panos sees.

"I am going to the Wisconsin spring game."
